  • The Association of MBAs (AMBA) has a South West Branch based on Bristol and West Country Branch based on Exeter. The Bristol Branch usually meets either at the University of West of England (UWE) in north Bristol or at the University of Bath, Management Department.
  • Chartered Management Institute (M) mission is to promote the art and science of management by encouraging and supporting the lifelong development of managers, to raise the level of competence and qualification of management, and to develop, evaluate and disseminate management thinking, tools, techniques and practices.
  • The Chartered Management Institute South West Region has branches in Bath, Bristol, Cardiff, Cornwall, Gloucestershire, Hereford/Worcester, North Devon, North Wiltshire, Plymouth and District, Swansea, Torbay and Exeter, Wessex, West Somerset, and Yeovil and District. The Bath branch usually meets at the delightful Bath Spa Hotel.
  • The Institute of Electrical Engineers has branches in Bristol, Devon and Cornwall, Dorset and South Wiltshire, Gloucester, Hereford and Worcester, Somerset and West Wiltshire, and Swindon. Somerset and West Wiltshire Branch often meets at University of Bath.
 
  • Institute of Directors (about to join) is a non party-political business organisation currently with around 55,000 members. The IoD champions the entrepreneur and seeks to provide an environment conducive to business success.
  • The IOD South West Region has over 3000 active members in three branches covering Devon & Cornwall, Wessex (Dorset & South Wiltshire) and West of England (Bristol, Somerset and Wiltshire). The Regional Office is based in the IoD Hub Castlemead in Bristol. There are weekly networking events in Bristol and weekly alternating network events in Bath and Swindon, plus breakfast meetings.
  • Institute of Management Consultancy (AM) promotes excellence in consulting to management by supporting, qualifying, and regulating individual management consultants. Managing Change is on the Committee of the Wales and West Branch.
  • Lloyds TSB - Pearson May Breakfast Meetings.
  • Lloyds TSB - Pearson May, in association with the Wiltshire Times, organise a monthly breakfast meeting in Westbury with speaker.
  • South West Consultants (M) - a network of mainly  independent IMC and AMBA consultants working in the South West. Meetings provide both networking and learning opportunities.
  • The South West Consultants Group is currently meeting monthly in Westbury-on-Trym. New consultants are welcome to attend 3 meetings before making a decision to join.
  • Strategic Planning Society (M) fosters and promotes research and best practice in strategic thought and action. It aims to increase the fulfilment by organisations of their purpose.
 
  • Through the Loop (I) - a group of experienced market researchers focusing on consumers in the digital age.
  • UK Systems Society (M) is dedicated to the development and promotion of 'systems' philosophy, theory, models, concepts and methodologies.
 
 
  • The Wessex Chamber of Commerce, based in Trowbridge, supports local town chambers of 13 towns in West Wiltshire and East Somerset. It provides networking opportunities, including a breakfast meeting with speaker, as well as training courses and lobbying. It has close links with the Wiltshire Times.
  • Western Consultants Group (FM) is a group of independent IMC members in the South West who have joined together to form a virtual practice to tender and provide resources for larger projects.
  • ValueAdding.com (I) - a network of experienced practitioners specialising in business process re-engineering, activity based costing, change management and organisational development.
